BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY
MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS
ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA

DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
SUNDAY, AUGUST 6, 2017
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME

PARTLY SUNNY SKIES AND CLEAR DAY ATOP GREAT BLUE HILL

High pressure south of the region has helped to make
today a very pleasant summer day.  Skies have remained
partly sunny with scattered cirrus and few cumulus
during each observation.  Visibility measured 70 miles
all day due to the low humidity and clear conditions.
Temperatures in the 60s and gusty winds made the morning
feel slightly chilly, but the afternoon was much more
seasonable as temperatures warmed into the 70s.  Winds
were out of the west and west-northwest for much of the
day.  A peak gust of 30 MPH NW occurred at 8:40AM.
