STILL HUMID, BUT SEASONABLY WARM UNDER A MIX OF SUN AND CLOUDS….
A mix of sun and clouds have been the theme today with seasonably
warm temperatures generally in the mid-upper 70s (coolest near
the coast). Interior areas have reached the low 80s. All in all
not a bad day.
Unfortunately the humidity levels are still elevated with dew-
point readings in the low to mid 60s.
Today is yet another day with light wind (have had many such days
this month). The direction has been mostly easterly, but has
only averaged around 5mph for the day so far. The peak gust has
only been 17mph up through mid afternoon.
Visibility has been limited due to thin fog this morning and then
general haziness this afternoon. Generally from around 20-25 miles
this morning to 35-40 miles this afternoon.
The summit continues with a monthly rainfall deficit of 1.44″, and
an annual deficit of 10.95″! Most of the Boston area remains under
extreme drought conditions.
The high so far today is 79F, which is equal to the normal maximum
of 79F. The low since midnight is 63F, which is 2 degrees above
the normal minimum of 61F.
