ANOTHER DRY AND HOT AUGUST DAY

Yesterday’s maximum temperature was 89F which is 10 degrees above our
normal of 79F. Our high temperature so far today is 83F by 1:00 P.M.,
which is slightly above normal as well. Winds coming from the west/northwest
have been moderate and increasing all day. Air has been warm and dry with dew
points dropping since yesterday afternoon. With the lowering of dew points
we are also seeing lower humidity than yesterday morning’s 100%. It has
decreased down to 42% by 1:00 P.M. today. The morning was cloudless with
a few distant cumulus. Cloud cover increased to broken stratocumulus
throughout the afternoon and visibility remained consistent all day
at 70 miles.
