DRIER AIR MOVES IN
Dew points were falling today as high pressure brought warm
and dry air into the region. Morning dew points measured
in the upper 60s and fell to 60F with 48% relative humidity
at 1:00PM EST. Temperatures stayed warm over the evening
with an overnight low of 67F before midnight. They had
reached 81F by 10:00AM and had warmed to a max. of 82F by
1:00PM.
Winds at the beginning of the day were out of the southwest
but had shifted westerly by mid-morning. Moderate gusts
and drier air helped to clear morning fog and haze out of
the area for 70 miles of visibility in the afternoon.
