CALM, SEASONABLE SPRING DAY

This morning’s low temperature of 29F was the coolest reading for the month
of April so far, and the coolest reading since March 26.  The average low for
this time of year is 34F.  The temperature has risen steadily under very sunny
skies, with a high temperature through 2:00 P.M. EDT of 53F, close to the
average of 52F.  There have been hardly any clouds observed today with very
dry air in place, dropping the humidity to under 30%.  Winds have been fairly
light and variable, generally coming in from the W and NW.  Visibility has
been around 70 miles all day, with some light distant haze being the only
limiting factor.  Rainfall on Friday night and into Saturday provided exactly
half an inch of rain, our first precipitation event for April.
