RAIN MOVES OUT EARLY TO OVERCAST CONDITIONS AND BELOW AVERAGE
TEMPERATURES TODAY AT BLUE HILL…
Today has been much like yesterday, but without the daytime rain
showers. We did have some rain during the early morning hours, but
the remainder of the day has been overcast with light fog in the area.
We started off a bit breezy this morning, but in the afternoon the
wind has decreased a bit. It’s still really nice outside, despite the
lack of sunshine.
Temperatures are still well below the average of 67F, as we have not
hit 60F on the hill since Thursday afternoon. The low temperatures have
been around average though, and the dew points have hovered around the
mid 50s throughout the day.
The wind has been pretty steady, with a breeze mostly out of the NNE
today with an average of about 11 mph. By the afternoon, the wind
began to shift to the NE and slowed down quite a bit. Our peak gust
so far has been about 25 mph which occurred overnight.
Thin fog and overcast skies impacted our visibility today, though it
has been marginally better than yesterday. Still though, we’ve only
been in the 10-20 mile range.
The maximum temperature so far today has been 58F, which is
9 degrees below the normal high of 67F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 53F, which is 3 degrees above the normal low
of 50F.
