MIX OF CLOUDS AND SUNSHINE, PLEASANT DAY SO FAR….

Clouds filled the majority of the sky this morning, but sunshine has become
more abundant as we head into the early afternoon. Aside from some fog, which
shrouded the summit for a brief period before the 7am observation, most
of the cloud cover has been in the mid and upper levels.

Temperatures today remain on the warm side, with readings rising from the
upper 50s this morning into the lower 70s by the afternoon. The dew point
has slightly fallen, from 60F this morning to the upper 50s by the 1pm
observation.

Winds, like yesterday, remain light, though speeds have picked up a touch
in recent hours. The average so far is only 6mph, with flow generally out
of the east-northeast. The peak gust occurred a few minutes before 1pm, with a
value of 19mph.

Visibility began poor as the fog and low clouds were present this morning,
but has since improved to 60 miles.

The maximum temperature so far today is 72F, which is 4 degrees above
the normal high of 68F. The minimum temperature since midnight is 58F,
which is 7 degrees above the normal low of 51F.
