MOSTLY SUNNY FOLLOWING BRIEF MORNING SHOWERS….

We were graced with a few brief showers this morning, which unfortunately
did nothing to aid in our recent dry spell. Only a trace of rainfall was
observed. Skies briefly cleared out mid-morning, but cumulus were quick to
develop thereafter.

Temperatures remain on the warm side today. This morning we bottomed out
in the mid 50s before gradually rising into the low 70s. The dew point
began in the upper 50s and has since fallen into the mid 50s as a drier
air mass moves into place.

Winds remain on the light side today. Our average speed is 9mph to this
point, with flow out of the north-northwest. The peak gust occurred just
after 8am during one of the passing showers, with a value of 20mph.

Visibility was fair this morning with thin fog and low clouds present.
Once those dissipated and departed, views jumped up to 70 miles.

The maximum temperature so far today is 71F, which is 6 degrees
above the normal high of 65F. The minimum temperature since midnight
is 56F, which is 8 degrees above the normal low of 48F.
