WIND BETWEEN OBSERVATIONS….
Today we observed an excellent visibility of 80 miles on
average under partly cloudy skies. Conditions are dry,
with dew points in the low 40’s, and a humidity of 52%
by the 1 P.M. observation. Wind was westerly, being
calm between 10 A.M. and 11 A.M. The max gust so far
today is only 14 mph.
Some very nice fall weather is upon us, and we are open
for rooftop tours until 4 P.M. It’s currently $3 for
adults and 1$ each for children.
The drought monitor was updated on Thursday revealing yet
another escalation. 55% of MA now in a “severe drought”
and 29% considered in an “extreme drought” (approximately
Boston to Providence and points south and east).

The high so far today is 65F, the same as the daily
normal. The low since midnight is 45F, which
is 3 degrees below the normal low of 48F.
