BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY
MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS
ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2020
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME

A WARM AND WINDY, BUT DRY DAY AT BLUE HILL…

Plenty of sunshine has been observed today with only some
broken high clouds around this morning. Also have been
observing a thin smoke layer aloft. Temperatures have
responded quite effectively to the sunshine and south-
southwest wind. The high so far this afternoon has
reached the mid 70s.

The wind has been busy today averaging around 21 mph
since 7 A.M. The peak gust so far today has been 37 mph.

Visibility has been decreasing from 50 miles this morning
to only around 35-40 miles this afternoon. This is due to
an increase in haziness as the dew point has risen from
the upper 40s to the mid 50s.

The high so far today is 75, 13 degrees above the daily
normal of 62F. The low since midnight is 52F, which is
7 degrees above the normal low of 45F.
