MAINLY CLOUDY, BUT DRY WITH MILD TEMPERATURES AND A GENTLE BREEZE…

Clouds are dominating the sky today with only a few brief peeks
of sunshine this morning. A milder air mass has moved into the
region as evidenced by our overnight night low that was a good
7 degrees above normal.

Temperatures this afternoon have pushed into the mid to upper
50s, which is a few degrees above the expected readings for
today’s date. The dew point has been holding in the mid 30s
all day, so the air mass is still on the dry side.

The wind was busy during the wee hours of the morning, but has
since decreased markedly to very light speeds as we reached the
early afternoon hours. The average speed so far for the day is
around 11mph, but the last couple of hours have only averaged
around 4mph. The peak gust for the day is 32mph, which occurred
right at midnight.

Despite the comfortable dew points and crisp air, the maximum
visibility has only reached around 40 miles once again today
due to general haziness.

The maximum temperature so far today is 59F, which is 5 degrees
above the normal high of 54F. The minimum temperature since
midnight is 44F, which is 7 degrees above the normal low of 37F.
