SUNNY WITH LESS WIND AND GREAT VISIBILITY….
It has been an absolutely beautiful day on the hill, with all
day sunshine. While there were only a few stratocumulus clouds
this morning, we are now seeing the sky almost completely covered
with cirrostratus clouds. This in conjunction with a small pressure
drop as the day went on. With lower than normal temperatures and a
light breeze, it is a bit on the chilly side.
Temperatures started in the lower 20’s and by the afternoon we had
hit our high of 35F. That is 12 degrees lower than our normal high
of 47F. The dew point hung around 15F all day, signifying very dry air.
Wind is westerly and has slightly decreased over the course of the day.
Our average for the day so far has been around 10 mph, but dropped to
around 6 mph by the 1 PM observation. The current peak gust of 24 mph
occurred earlier this morning.
Visibility started off with about 80 miles of visibility and
stayed the same for the 1pm observation.
Hope y’all had a Happy Thanksgiving!
