RAINY CONDITIONS WITH TEMPERATURE DROP AFTER MID-MORNING
WIND SHIFT…
Light rain was observed on and off throughout the day, becoming
heavier at times. At total of 0.20 ins has been measured so
far today. Overall this month so far is trending well below
(2.25 inches) normal for precipitation.
The day began with mild, above average temperatures but the
temperatures began to drop after the wind shifted from SSW to WNW
just before 9 AM. The temperature has dropped 10 degrees from 55F
down to 45F since 8 AM.
Winds have been very active again today. Our current peak gust
so far has been about 35 mph, which occurred after our 1 PM
observation.
Visibility steadily increased as the day went on. We had started
the day stuck in the fog with a 1/4 mile of visibility and increased
to 70 miles by 1 PM.
The maximum temperature so far today is 55F, which is 5 degrees
above the normal high of 50F. The minimum temperature since
midnight is 45F, which is 12 degrees above the normal low of 33F.
