ANOTHER DAY OF BRILLIANT SUNSHINE, BREEZY AND WARM TODAY…

Yesterday’s warming trend continued today with temperatures just
hitting 60F by our final observation. With the continuation of
dry air and northwesterly flow, we have had a spectacular day
on the hill. This has been a great weekend for enjoying the good
ol’ outdoors!

The wind has been mostly steady today, with some gusty conditions
during the late morning and early afternoon. The average speed for
the day so far is around 12mph and winds have been predominantly out
of the northwest. The peak gust for the day is around 29mph, which
occurred before 11am.

We have had another amazing day of visibility, 80 miles throughout
the day. With the low dew points and high wind, the red flag warning
remains in effect and there was a smoke plume observed in the early
afternoon hours but was gone by the 1pm observation.

The maximum temperature for today since midnight is 60 degrees, which
is 10 degrees above the normal high of 50F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 38F degrees, which is 4 degrees above the normal
low of 34F degrees.
