SHOWERS LEAVE A TRACE OF RAIN FRIDAY AFTERNOON,
GUSTY WINDS CONTINUE AS COOL TO SEASONABLE TEMPS
VISIT THE REGION
Rain showers passed through the region yesterday afternoon,
leaving just a trace of new precipitation here on top of
Great Blue Hill. Showers stopped and started multiple
times between 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM EST.
Gusty winds yesterday that peaked at 40 MPH just after the
1:00 PM EST observation, have continued this morning as well,
hitting the 40 MPH mark once again on some anemometers. Skies
have been partly to mostly cloudy, with much cooler temperatures.
Today may be the first cooler than normal day for the month of
November, which has been averaging 8.7 degrees F above normal
with nearly half of the month completed.
By the 1:00 PM EST observation, clouds cover nearly all of the
sky and upper level Cirrostratus clouds had begun to move in
from the West. These clouds were obscured by the Broken cloud
deck of Stratocumulus clouds. Temperatures had begun to fall
back into the lower 40’s. Conditions remained very dry with
strong winds gusting around 40 mph.
