BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY
MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS
ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 2025
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME (EST)
SUNRISE: 0618E
SUNSET: 1637E
MAINLY SUNNY WEATHER RETURNS, BUT STILL WINDY WITH SEASONABLE
TEMPERATURES….
The strong low pressure that passed over the region early
yesterday continues to depart, however the tight pressure
gradient remains with gusty winds continuing the impact the
area today. On the bright side (no pun intended) the skies
have been mainly sunny today, so all in all it’s not a bad
day out there if you can stand the wind.
Temperatures are cooler than yesterday, but readings are near
seasonable levels in the mid 50s. Dew points values have been
hanging in the mid 30s for the most part today, so the air mass
is quite a bit drier than the past couple of days.
As mentioned, the wind continues to be busy with frequent gusts
of 30mph or higher. The average speed for the day so far is
around 19mph out of the west. The peak gust for the day so far
is 50mph, which occurred at 12:14am this morning.
Visibility has been quite decent, with a view generally between
60-70 miles throughout the day.
The maximum temperature so far today is 56F degrees, which is
1 degree above the normal high of 55F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 43F degrees, which is 5 degrees above the
normal low of 38F.
