SHOWERS THIS MORNING, A BRIEF INTERMISSION, THEN MORE RAIN….

The morning here began with rain, which moved through rather quickly,
only accumulating 0.20″. Some drizzle and fog persisted for a bit
before the overcast broke for some sunshine by late morning! By noon,
clouds filled back in, accompanied by occasional drizzle and light rain
as the low center continues to spin to our west.

Temperatures are a touch below normal, with a low this morning in the
upper 50s and a high in the mid 60s, which occurred while the sun was out.
Now that the clouds have returned, temperatures have dropped back to the
upper 50s. The dew point has dropped a touch as well, from the low
60s this morning to the upper 50s.

Winds began on the lighter side before picking up by mid morning with flow
out of the south. The average speed thus far is 13mph, with a peak gust to
around 39mph just after 10am.

As should be anticipated, visibility has been variable today. Dense fog
this morning limited views to 1/8 of a mile. After the low overcast broke,
views improved to 40 miles, before retreating back to 10 miles due to
light rain and thin fog in the afternoon.

The maximum temperature for today is 66F degrees, which is 5 degrees
below the normal high of 71F. The minimum temperature since midnight
is 58F degrees, which is 5 degrees above the normal low of 53F.
