WARM DAY WITH DECREASING HUMIDITY AT GREAT BLUE HILL ….

The high temperature so far today at Blue Hill Observatory
has been 67F, 18 degrees above our normal daily maximum.
0.02 inches of rain was measured in the standard weighing
gauge this morning at 7 EST that fell during an afternoon
shower yesterday. Humidity was measured at 93%
at the 7 o’clock observation, and has decreased throughout
the day to 38% at the 1 o’clock EST observation. Pressure
began to rise this morning between 6 and 7, but has been
decreasing since 7. Our low since midnight was 40F, the same
as our daily normal temperature. Temperature dropped overnight
slightly as wind shifted from the southwest to the northeast
before 5 A.M. EST, but shifted to the southeast right after
7 and has remained south-southeasterly since, bringing warm
air with it.
