A BEAUTIFUL SPRING DAY….
The weather is excellent today for getting outdoors, with warm temperatures,
a steady breeze, and filtered sunshine. The filtered sunshine is due to
persistent high-level cloudiness in the form of cirrostratus and thin cirrus.
Temperatures today are well above normal, with a low in the low 30s and a
high so far in the low 60s. The air is quite dry, as the dew point has
slowly risen from the low to upper 20s, with relative humidity values dropping
below 30% by the afternoon.
The wind is steady, with flow predominantly out of the west-southwest.
Speeds have slowly increased as the day has progressed. The average speed
so far is 14mph, with a peak gust to 36mph around 11:45am.
Thanks to the dry air, visibility is excellent, extending up to 70 miles
all day.
The maximum temperature for today is 60F degrees, which is 14 degrees
above the normal high of 46F. The minimum temperature since midnight is
33F degrees, which is 4 degrees above the normal low of 29F.
