BREEZY WITH INCREASING CLOUD COVERAGE, VERY LIGHT SHOWERS….
Blue skies to begin the morning did not last long, as cumulus clouds
quickly began to develop and increase in coverage. With a lower dew point
than the past few days and a nice breeze, it is quite nice outside,
though there have been a few sprinkles to begin the afternoon.
The temperature bottomed out in the mid 50s this morning and has
risen to the low 70s, which is just about average for the time of year.
As mentioned previously, the dew point has held in the mid 50s today, meaning
it is a bit less sticky out there than it has been recently.
Winds, which were slow through the day yesterday, have picked up overnight
and remain breezy so far today. The average speed is 13mph so far, but we’ve
had frequent gusts in the 25-30mph range. The peak gust to this point is about
32mph, occurring a touch before 10:45am.
Visibility peaked at 60 miles this morning, and has since fallen to 50 miles,
largely due to showers in the distance to our west through north.
The maximum temperature so far today is 72F degrees, which is
1 degree below the normal high of 73F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 54F degrees, which is 1 degree below the
normal low of 55F.
