HIGH PRESSURE BRINGS ANOTHER NICE DAY
High pressure is in control today, providing us with another nice
summer day. This morning dawned mostly sunny and seasonable, with
a morning low temperature of 60F. We are running a few degrees
above average this afternoon, with the temperature in the low 80s.
A sea breeze that has been present for much of the day has prevented
it from becoming any warmer. In addition, dew points remain low, so
the air has been feeling very comfortable. Some clouds have developed
during the day, with cirrus gradually overspreading more of the sky
and cumulus clouds bubbling up as well, though most of those have been
small. Despite 0.29 inches of rain on Thursday, we remain in a long
term dry spell, and are likely to finish greater than two inches below
normal for precipitation this month.
