BREEZY WITH MUCH COOLER AND DRIER AIR TODAY….

Yesterday’s warm and humid conditions was upended by some
thunderstorms that rolled through parts of the area during
the afternoon yesterday. One such storm passed over Blue
Hill bringing a brief downpour and some gusty winds with
it. 0.20″ of rain fell within a 14 minute period. Gusts
to 30-35mph also accompanied this storm.

Today we’re enjoying the air on the other side of the cold
front with cool dry Canadian air taking over. The temperature
has only been able to get into the upper 60s under partial
sunshine. Dew points have been gradually falling from the
mid 50s this morning to the upper 40s early this afternoon.
It just doesn’t get much better than this in mid June!

The wind has been busy today with frequent gusts over 25mph.
The peak gust so far today is 35mph which occurred around
2am this morning. The average speed for the day is around
15mph.

Visibility has been excellent all day ranging from 70-80
miles!

The high so far today is 68F, which is 8 degrees below
the normal maximum of 76F. The low since midnight is 60F,
which is 1 degree above the normal minimum of 59F.
