HAZY, HOT, AND HUMID CONDITIONS CONTINUE ON BLUE HILL….

The morning started off overcast with minimal breaks in the sky
and cleared up as the day progressed. Even with the clearing of
the clouds, the visibility still remained under 20 miles due to
the high dew points and hazy conditions.

Temperatures have been above average today, quickly reaching the
80’s by late morning. The dew points have remained in the low
70’s making for some very sticky conditions. The heat index has
hovered around the low 90’s for most of the day. It is a day to
stay hydrated and in the shade!

Winds have been light and variable for most of the day today. Our
average speed so far is about 5 mph with the peak gust of 20 mph
reported during the overnight hours. Winds have picked up in the
evenings over the last couple of days so hopefully that trend will
continue today.

Visibility improved from 10 miles this morning to only 15 miles
due to the hazy conditions.

The maximum temperature so far today is 84F, this is 3 degrees
above the normal high of 81F. The minimum since midnight is 70F,
which is 7 degrees above the normal low of 63F.
