COOLER WITH SOME MUCH-NEEDED RAINFALL AND FOGGY
CONDITIONS….
Today we’ve experienced lower than normal temperatures, which is
a relief from the heat wave earlier on this week. Overnight
rainfall totaled 0.41 inches, with an additional 0.27 inches
falling between 7 A.M. and 1 P.M. Wind is northeasterly at an
average speed of 15 mph and a max gust of 31 mph.
As far as the skies and visibility are concerned, we are socked
in fog. A 1/2 mile is the best we’ve “seen” so far. Intermittent light
rain has remained the theme.
Temperature has only varied 2 degrees over the course of the day
due to the new airmass, overcast skies, and the wind off the
ocean.
The high so far today is 56F, 25 degrees below the daily average
of 81F. This barely whiffs the low maximum record of 55F, set in
1914. The low so far today is 54F, 9 degrees below the daily
average of 63F.
