SHOWERS TO START, BREAKS OF SUN, THEN MORE SHOWERS….

The morning started dry with overcast skies, but it was not long
before showers began moving through. There was a break in the precipitation
and clouds late morning, during which the sun was able to peek through for a
short while. Heading into the early afternoon, showers have returned. So far
today, we have received sixty-two hundredths of an inch of rainfall.

The temperatures this morning held in the low to mid 70s, before rising
to the upper 70s just after the sun came out. The dew point remains high,
holding in the low to mid 70s.

Winds were steady overnight, but have dropped off quite a bit since. The
average speed so far is 11mph, primarily out of the southwest. The peak gust
took place just after midnight, with a value of approximately 25mph.

Visibility has varied a lot today with the showers coming through, but has
ranged from 1/4 of a mile at worst to up to 30 miles at best.

The maximum temperature so far today is 78F, which is 4 degrees
below the normal high of 82F. The minimum temperature since
midnight is 72F, which is 8 degrees above the normal low of 64F.
