There was some filtered sunshine at mid-morning through a veil
of thin cirrus fibratus and cirrostratus, though lower clouds
have moved in as of mid-day. Winds have increased from the
south since earlier this morning with a peak gust of 59 mph
from the SSW occuring at 11:16 AM EST. Frequent gusts over 40 mph
have been measured since 10:30 AM this morning. The highest
hourly wind speeds have been 33 mph in each hour from 11 AM
to 2 PM EST today.
Seven inches of snow remain on the ground early this morning.
