TURNING MILDER WITH INCREASING CLOUDINESS….
Clouds have increased in coverage through the morning hours ahead of
our next storm system. A decent breeze out of the south-southwest has
allowed temperatures to rise nicely, despite the now overcast skies.
The low today occurred right at midnight, at 27F degrees. Since then,
we have steadily risen into the low 40s. The dew point has also been
increasing, reaching the mid 30s by the early afternoon.
After a quiet day yesterday, winds picked up through the overnight.
The average speed so far is 18mph out of the south-southwest. Frequent
gusts of 25-35mph have been occurring over the past few hours. The
peak gust to this point took place at 12:27pm with a speed of 36mph.
Visibility remains limited due to thin fog and haziness. Views have
remained in the 20-30 mile range all day.
The maximum temperature for today is 41F degrees, which is 7 degrees
above the normal high of 34F. The minimum temperature since midnight
is 27F degrees, which is 9 degrees above the normal low of 18F.
