INCREASING CLOUDS TODAY WITH LIGHT WIND AND MILD TEMPERATURES….
Clouds have been quickly advancing into the area today with only
a few glimpses of sunshine early this morning. Despite the cloud
cover, it’s not a bad day out there with a light wind and mild
temperatures. It’s a decent day to be out and about.
Temperatures continue to run well above normal, with the morning
low in the mid 30s and readings reaching the mid 40s by early this
afternoon. Although the high for the day occurred at midnight
with a value of 50F degrees! For reference, the normal high and
low for today are 35F and 19F respectively. Dew point values have
been generally in the mid 30s throughout the day.
Winds were gusty overnight, but gradually diminished after 5am
this morning. The average speed for the day so far is around 12mph,
but it’s been closer to 5mph over the past couple of hours, and
even lower than that in the last hour. The peak gust for the day
so far is 33mph, which occurred just after 2:10am this morning.
Visibility has been excellent today, ranging between 60-80 miles
through the day.
The maximum temperature so far today is 50F degrees, which is
15 degrees above the normal high of 35F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 36F degrees, which is 17 degrees above the
normal low of 19F.
