FOLLOWING YESTERDAY’S WINTRY MIX…

Today the summit was left with a snow depth of 1 inch and a
significant layer of glaze ice. Wind was northwesterly and
consistent at a little over 10 mph. The highest gust seen
so far today is 22 mph. This was picked up after some of our
wind instruments unfroze thanks to mostly sunny conditions.
Snow and other varieties of frozen precipitation totaled
0.9 inches in height, and 0.85 inches of liquid was measured
since 7 A.M. yesterday.

Visibility was limited today, but did reach 50 miles by the
1 P.M. observation.

The high today was 21F, this is 14 degrees below the normal
high of 35F. The low since midnight is 17F, which is a degree
below the normal minimum of 18F.
