REMAINING COLD WITH MIX OF SUN AND CLOUDS….
Skies began the day mostly cloudy with altostratus and cirrus filling much
of the sky, providing filtered sunshine at times. While these clouds have
been slow to depart, a clearing trend began around noon. With light flow out
of the northwest, it remains another cold day regardless of the sunshine.
Temperatures are below normal again today, with a low this morning in the
low teens, and a high so far in the low 30s. The dew point has inched up
slightly, now in the low teens.
Winds were steady this morning, but have begun to slow down over the past
few hours. The average speed so far is 14mph, with a peak gust of 30mph at 8:57am.
Visibility has been excellent, holding between 70-80 miles all day long.
The maximum temperature for today is 31F degrees, which is 7 degrees below
the normal high of 38F. The minimum temperature since midnight is 13F
degrees, which is 8 degrees below the normal low of 21F.
