MOSTLY CLEAR DAY WITH GUSTY WIND AND GREAT VISIBILITY….
Although not quite as warm as yesterday, which captured a daily high temperature
record of 60F beating the previous record of 54F in 1909, today has been warmer
than average with a high of 42F, which is 6 degrees warmer than the normal
high temperature for today of 36F. Visibility has been excellent with
Monadnock’s tree line fully visible, making for a 90 mile view at the
10 o’clock observation and only becoming slightly hazier by 1 o’clock.
Winds have been moderately strong today, frequently gusting over 25 knots
as a high pressure system moves into the area from the west. Besides this,
observing has been pleasant, and I hope these conditions persist!
