YET ANOTHER DREARY DECEMBER DAY FEATURING LIGHT RAIN AND FOG….

Light rain has been mostly ongoing since this morning, with 0.01″
falling before 7am and another 0.06″ falling between 7am and 1pm,
giving us a total of 0.07″ for the day so far.

Similar to yesterday, temperatures remain trapped in the upper
30s to lower 40s, with very little change since the first observation
at 7am.

The wind began the day very light, but since around 11am has picked up
speed. The average so far is 8mph, primarily out of the west-northwest.
Our peak gust occurred just before 1pm, with a speed of 23mph.

Visibility was limited to a mile or less for much of the morning
as the top of the hill was shrouded in fog. As the cloud base has
lifted, however, views have increased to 10 miles, revealing the
Boston skyline.

The maximum temperature so far today is 42F degrees, this is 5
degrees above the normal high of 37F. The minimum temperature since
midnight is 39F degrees, this is 18 degrees above the normal low
of 21F.
