ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME (EST)

SUNSET: 1612E
REMAINING COLD, SUNNY WITH HIGH PRESSURE IN CONTROL….
Clear skies and abundant sunshine have been the theme today
due to a rather strong area of high pressure building in. The only
clouds visible have been stratocumulus located well offshore.
We began the morning in the upper teens, which is the coldest morning of
the season thus far. Following sunrise, temperatures have risen to the low
30s. The air remains dry, with dew points holding in the low to mid teens.
Winds have become lighter as the day has progressed. The average to this
point is 10mph, currently out of the northwest. Our peak gust so far occurred
around 5am, with a speed of 19mph.
Visibility began at 50 miles due to an inversion, but rose to 70 miles
once the inversion mixed out.
The maximum temperature for today is 32F degrees, which is 9
degrees below the normal high of 41F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 17F degrees, which is 8 degrees below the
normal low of 25F.
