MUCH COOLER AND DRIER AIR TODAY UNDER MAINLY CLOUDY SKIES….
The much anticipated (and appreciated) relief from the hot and humid
weather of the past few days finally arrived overnight. The dew point
dropped from near 70 last night to the mid 50s this morning. It’s been
holding in the mid 50s all day. Combined with a brisk east-northeast
wind, it feels quite refreshing today.
Skies have been mainly cloudy today, although this morning clouds
were thin enough to afford some sunshine. Despite the morning sun,
temperatures still didn’t rebound much from the morning low. So
far the maximum temperature has been 70F, which was also the reading
back at midnight.
Visibility today has been hanging around 40-50 miles!
The high so far today, as mentioned, is 70F, this is 9 degrees below
the daily normal maximum of 79F. The low so far today is 64F, which is
3 degrees above the daily normal minimum of 61F.
