RAINY DAY WITH OVERCAST SKIES….
We had a rainy and cooler day on top of Great Blue Hill.
So far we have received 0.28 ins. of precipitation. The
rain has been mostly light today with a heavy band
mid-morning. Temperatures so far today have been below
normal with a max of 71F at midnight and a day time max
of 69F. These are both below the daily normal of 80F.
Yesterday the wind shifted coming from the WNW to the ESE
and continued to come from the ESE for most of the day
today. Visibility was obscured due to fog today and we
could see a max of 20 miles at 10:00 A.M. then thicker fog
returned and we have variable visibility at the 1:00 P.M.
observation.
So far August has been above normal for both temperature
and precipitation.
