MIX OF SUN AND CLOUDS AS DEBBY DEPARTS….

The remnants of Debby have finally exited the region, but the airmass
remains moist for now. We began the morning with fog, which
quickly lifted to form a stratus overcast. This rapidly dissipated,
and shortly thereafter fair-weather cumulus developed, dotting the sky.

The temperature dropped to the low 70s this morning before rising to the
mid 80s once the sun came out. The dew point has been slow to fall, beginning
in the mid 70s and only dropping to 70F by the final observation.

The wind was quite gusty yesterday out of the south-southwest, with a peak
gust of 50mph measured at 4:18pm. Speeds remained elevated through early this
morning, but since then have dropped off dramatically. Our peak gust for
the day today is around 40mph, occurring just after 1am. the average speed
so far is 12mph, now out of the west.

Visibility has increased as the day has gone on, rising from 10 miles at
the first observation to 40 miles by 1pm, but skies remain hazy.

The maximum temperature so far today is 84F, which is 3 degrees
above the normal high of 81F. The minimum temperature since
midnight is 72F, which is 9 degrees above the normal low of 63F.
