INCREASING CIRRUS COVERAGE AND WARMER….

It has been a gorgeous day up here on the hill so far! Warm
temperatures combined with some filtered sunshine and light winds
have made for a great day to enjoy the outdoors. Cloud coverage has
increased as the day has progressed, with cirrus filling much of the
sky by late morning. Otherwise, there is not much of note weather-wise!

It was chilly to start this morning, as we began in the upper 30s.
Temperatures quickly rose following sunrise, and we have made it to the
mid 60s by early afternoon, which is just a touch above normal for this
time of year. The air mass remains dry, as the dew point has slowly fallen
from the mid to lower 30s.

Winds have been quite light all day, with a measly average of only 8mph.
The peak gust occurred early this morning, but was only about 21mph.

Visibility has been fairly good so far. Despite the dry air mass, our
views today have only reached 50-60 miles, mostly because of haziness.

The maximum temperature so far today is 65F degrees, which is
4 degrees above the normal high of 61F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 37F degrees, which is 5 degrees below the
normal low of 42F.
