OVERCAST AND DREARY WITH MORE RAIN ACROSS THE REGION….
It should be of no surprise to anyone that it’s raining again!
Today has featured a pretty steady rain which began in the wee
hours of the morning. 0.14″ was measured by 7am, with an
additional 0.49″ falling between 7am-1pm.
Temperatures have been held in the low to mid 60s thanks to the
clouds and rainfall. The dew point of course is also in the low
60s as a slug of moist air rides up the coast associated with a
developing coastal low.
The wind has decreased in speed since earlier this morning when
it was averaging around 10-15mph. As we move into the early
afternoon hours, the speed has decreased to under 5mph.
Visibility has been quite limited, but variable, thanks to the
rain and fog. We could see up to 4-5 miles early this morning,
but has dropped to as low as 1/16th of a mile at times through
the course of the day.
The maximum temperature so far today has been 64F, which is
8 degrees below to the normal high of 72F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 61F, which is 6 degrees above the normal low
of 55F.
