RAIN SHOWERS MOVE THROUGH AHEAD OF A COLD FRONT….

Today marks our first measurable precipitation of the month! Showers
moving through ahead of a frontal boundary have gifted us with 0.24″
of rainfall. The intensity has primarily been on the lighter side.

Temperatures today have been cooler than the past several days, rising slowly
through the 50s. The dew point initially lagged behind, but has now caught
up and is following the same trend.

Winds have been gustier today than the past several days. Our average speed
to this point is 13mph, with flow out of the south-southeast. The peak gust
occurred a bit after 7:30am, with a value of 29mph.

Visibility has deteriorated as the day has progressed, falling from 20
miles this morning to only 1/8 of a mile by the final observation, due to
precipitation and fog.

The maximum temperature so far today is 56F, which is 8 degrees below
the normal high of 64F. The minimum temperature since midnight is 51F,
which is 4 degrees above the normal low of 47F.
