ANOTHER DAY OF CLEAR SUNNY SKIES WITH RECORD WARMTH….

Today is another spectacularly clear day with abundant sunshine
and well above normal temperatures.

Temperatures have approached record levels today with the high
so far of 83F degrees. This ties the record high for today,
which was set in 1990 and 2007. Dew point values were a bit
higher today than yesterday reaching the low 60s for most of
the morning and into early this afternoon. However, mixing
has started taking place just in time for the 1pm observation
with the dew point now dropping into the upper 50s. Either
way, these are still elevated values for this time of year.

Winds have been fairly steady between 5-10mph for most of the
day out of a southwest to west-southwest direction. The average
speed for the day so far is around 11mph. The peak gust so far
is 20mph, which occurred just before 1pm.

Visibility is reduced once again today first by thin fog, and
then by haziness. The view was between 5-25 miles early this
morning, but improved to around 40-50 miles thereafter into
early this afternoon.

The maximum temperature so far today is 83F degrees, which is
18 degrees above the normal high of 65F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 59F degrees, which is 11 degrees above the
normal low of 48F.
