LIGHT RAIN YESTERDAY DOES LITTLE TO IMPROVE
PRECIPITATION DEFICIT AT BLUE HILL
0.04 inches of new rain yesterday was not enough
to overcome the daily average precipitation of 0.16
inches normal for that date. This daily deficit deepens
the monthly deficit to now 2.64 inches below normal through
yesterday, which is now 7.58 inches below normal for
the year.
Clear skies and rising pressure overnight brought in
cold air, dropping temperatures to 38F this morning.
Excellent visibility has been observed throughout the
morning, with 80 miles visible in all directions. By the
1:00 PM EST observation skies were still mostly clear
with visibility of 75 miles. A maximum temperature of
53F had been reached.
