DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
MONDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2016
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME

TRACE OF PRECIP BEFORE 7:00AM, GUSTY WINDS CONTINUE

Low pressure moving through the region gave us just a trace of precip.
between 4:00AM and 5:00AM EST this morning.  Winds have been out of the
NW for most of the day and have remained quite gusty with a peak gust of
33 kts (38 MPH) just before 11:00AM EST.

Dry air has settled into the region, and dew points dropped to the low-30s
by early afternoon.  Visibility was again excellent at 70 miles all day.
Skies remained mostly clear until early afternoon when diurnal cumulus began
to pop up.

Temperatures are more seasonable today.  The overnight low of 47F occurred
just before the 7:00AM observation, but temperatures rose only to 58F by
1:00PM.
