OVERCAST AND COOL TODAY WITH RAIN MOVING THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON….

After a spectacular weekend of perfect weather, today we return
to clouds and developing rain. It would appear we’re on a regular
schedule when it comes to rain (every Monday/Tuesday) over the
last 6 weeks or so. I’m sure as long as the weekends are nice,
most people won’t complain about this statistic!

At any rate, clouds have been the theme today with off and on
light rain showers from mid morning becoming heavier and more
persistent right around the 1pm observation. There was only a
trace measured upto the 1pm observation, but measurable amounts
occurred in the hour following with one of our electronic
gauges (unofficial) recording 0.15″ for the hour from 1-2pm EST.

The wind has been quite light today (even going calm at times)
with an average speed of only around 6mph to this point.

Visibility maxed out at around 40 miles this morning, but has
of course decreased this afternoon with the onset of heavier
rain and fog.

The high so far today is 57F, which is 4 degrees below
the normal maximum of 61F. The low since midnight is 50F,
which is 6 degrees above the normal low of 44F.
