MAINLY CLOUDY AND COOLER TODAY WITH A LIGHT ONSHORE WIND…
Clouds have been dominating the sky today with a low stratocumulus
deck doing the honors. It’s also quite a bit cooler today than
it was yesterday with temperatures only reaching the upper 40s to
50F degrees early this afternoon, which is below normal for this
time of year.
The dew point has held in the low to mid 30s today, thus enhancing
the chilliness of the air.
The wind has been on the light side once again today, starting
out of a northerly direction, then gradually veering to an easterly,
then southeasterly direction late this morning and early this
afternoon. The average speed so far for the day is only around 8mph.
The peak gust for the day so far has been 23mph, occurring before
1am.
Visibility was decent this morning at 60 miles, but has reduced to
only 40 miles early this afternoon with an increase in general
haziness.
The maximum temperature so far today is 50F, which is 4 degrees
below the normal high of 54F. The minimum temperature since
midnight is 40F, which is 3 degrees above the normal low of 37F.
