RAIN AND FOG WITH SOME RUMBLES OF THUNDER, THEN
A NICER AFTERNOON….

Today we observed a lot of rain and fog until noontime,
clearing up for the makings of a chilly yet nice fall
afternoon. A front came through this morning leaving
us with an event total of 1.77 inches of rain. High
winds were seen with the front as well, maxing out
at around 40 mph. The rainfall was accompanied by
a couple rumbles of thunder, but any lightning was
distant and seen as a faint flash.

Visibility was obscured by fog this morning, with an
average visibility of an 1/8th mile. This changed around
noontime when the weather conditions improved rapidly.
We are currently seeing over 70 miles of visibility with
partly cloudy skies. Temperature has dropped considerably,
going from 55F this morning to around 42F this afternoon.

A rainbow was also seen in the Braintree area from the
observation tower.

The high so far today is 58F, 10 degrees above the daily
normal high of 48F. The low since midnight is 42F,
11 degrees above the normal low of 31F.
