COLD FRONT CLEARS THE COAST OVERNIGHT,
CLEAR SKIES AND COLD AIR IN PLACE FOLLOWING RAINY SUNDAY
Rain showers began off and on yesterday as a cold front
slid up the coast, bringing 0.42 inches of new precipitation.
Brilliant blue skies and cold, dry air quickly moved into
place this morning by the 7:00 AM EST observation, where
temperatures dipped briefly below freezing just thereafter.
By the 1:00 PM EST observation skies were nearly completely
clear. Visibility was 80 miles in all directions with dew
points dropping into the lower teens. A maximum temperature
of 40F had been recorded.
