LIGHT RAIN AND OVERCAST SKIES THE THEME SO FAR….

We observed limited visibility this morning due to fog, limiting our
view to 10 miles on average. Skies were overcast with some light rain
falling intermittently. Overnight rain totaled only 0.03 inches, which
is much less compared to locations south and east of the observatory.

Additional rainfall occurred between 7 A.M. and 10 A.M. today, leaving
another 0.06 inches in the gauge.

The wind has been shifting from south to northwest and decreasing in intensity
since early on this morning. The average speed is less than 10 mph with
a max gust of 41 mph happening around 5 A.M.

Visibility increased after the light rain ended around 10 A.M. It was
70 miles at the 1 P.M. observation!

The high so far today is 52F, 4 degrees above the normal max of 48F.
The low since midnight is 48F, 16 degrees above the normal low of 32F.
