VERY LITTLE IN THE WAY OF CLOUD COVER WITH EXCELLENT
VISIBILITY….

We observed almost clear skies today and a maximum visibility
of 85 miles at the 1 P.M. observation.

The rain deficit on the month is 1.03 inches, and the annual
deficit is over 11.5 inches. Essex County is still in a severe
drought, as the Boston Area remains abnormally dry.

Wind is strengthening as the day goes on, shifting from west
to south. The average wind speed is 15 mph with frequent gusts
above 20 mph. There is still a chill in the air as dew points
persist in the high teens.

The high so far today is only 36F, which is 12 degrees below the
normal maximum of 48F. The low since midnight is 20F, which is
12 degrees below the normal low of 32F.
