BRISK AND UNSEASONABLY COLD TODAY UNDER SUNNY SKIES…

Sunshine has been the theme today with crystal clear skies and
excellent visibility. However cold air advection has rendered
the sunshine somewhat ineffective as temperatures have been held
in the 30s.

The dew point has been dropping all day from the mid 20s early
this morning to the low teens early this afternoon. A taste of
an arctic air mass. This combined with the wind is making for a
rather cold feel to the day. As a matter of fact, the wind chill
has been hanging around in the upper 20s!

Winds have been busy again today with frequent gusts 20-25mph
occurring. The average speed for the day so far is around 10mph.
The peak gust so far has been around 30mph, which occurred just
after the 9am this morning.

Visibility has been excellent today ranging from 60-80 miles!

The maximum temperature so far today is 38F, which is 11 degrees
below the normal high of 49F. The minimum temperature since
midnight is 27F, which is 5 degrees below the normal low of 32F.
