MIX OF SUN AND CLOUDS WITH A CHILLY BREEZE….

Another weak disturbance passed through the region overnight
bringing with it some showers and even some wet snow for some
across interior high elevation areas. This system deposited
0.10″ of rain in our gauge here at Blue Hill.

In its wake, a mix of sun and clouds have been the theme
today with cool temperatures mainly hanging in the mid-upper
40s here on the summit, but reaching the low 50s down below.

The wind has gotten busy as the early afternoon progresses
out of the west-northwest. Speeds have increased from around
7-8 mph this morning to 15 mph early this afternoon. A peak
gust of 29 mph has been measured so far.

Dew points are starting to drop off as mixing from aloft
increases, from the mid 30s early this morning to the low
30s so far early this afternoon.

Visibility has gradually been increasing, from 15 miles early
this morning in thin fog to 60 miles early this afternoon.

The high so far today is 47F, 3 degrees below the normal max
of 50F. The low since midnight is 36F, 2 degrees above the
normal low of 34F.
